Robert Edward Donnelly

Devoted Father and Grandfather Foxborough-Robert Edward Donnelly, age 67, of Foxborough died on Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was husband of the late Marie Anne (Collier) and son of the late James and Mary (Foley) Donnelly.
Robert was born in Norwood on March 30, 1942 and was a graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1960. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve. He and his late wife Marie were married on November 5, 1966 at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Norwood. He has been a Foxborough resident for the past 30 years.
Robert worked for over 25 years as an electrical technician for Raytheon in Norwood, Andover and Lowell. He was an avid New England sports fan and also enjoyed fishing. Robert loved spending time with his family.
Beloved father of Suzanne M. and her husband Todd Watson of Foxborough, Robert M. and his wife Paula of Wrentham, Paul S. of Mansfield and Holly and her husband David Treannie of New Hampshire. Loving brother of James F. Donnelly of Norwood and Mary Ripley of Stoughton. Also survived by nine grandchildren.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, November 27, from 4-8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. in Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 549 Washington St. in Norwood. Interment to follow in Highland Cemetery at Norwood.
