Mimi Odell-Flynn

Mrs. Mimi Odell-Flynn, age 90, died on Thursday April 5, 2007 at the Charlwell House in Norwood. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Odell and Herbert “Herb” Flynn.

Born on August 25, 1916 in Barre Vermont, She was the daughter of the late Guy and Jessie (Bonazzdi) Briganti. She was a former resident of Dedham, Newton Center and a 32-year resident of New Seabury in Mashpee. She resided for the last year and a half with her family in Walpole.

In her younger years she was a professional Ballerina where she learned ballet under the direction of Madame Papparella of Boston and later became a Ballet instructor her self. She was an excellent bridge player and needle pointer. She was a great cook and loved to prepare meals and to entertain. She also loved living on the Cape and was a loyal Red Sox fan.

Mimi was the past president of the New Seabury Womans Culb and the New Seabury Golf Assoc. She was a member of the Country Club at New Seabury where she achieved the ultimate hole in one. She was also the past president of the Catholic Woman’s Club in Walpole.

Beloved mother of Trish (Odell) Hess and her husband Lou of Foxboro. Loving grandmother of John Michael Hess and Kristin A. and Kelly M. Hess all of Walpole.

Funeral Information

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 9, at 11 AM at the Christ the King Parish, RT. 151, in Mashpee. Interment to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Calling hours are omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South St. Foxboro.
