Beloved Husband, Son, Brother and Uncle Tampa, FL-Stephen J. Thompson, age 49, died on Thursday, January 7, 2010 after a brief illness at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Brighton surrounded by the comfort of his loving family.
Stephen was born at St. Elizabeth Medical Center on February 14, 1960 and was the son of Paul and Theresa (Lynch) Thompson. He was a former resident of Foxborough where he was a 1977 graduate of Foxborough High School. Stephen resided in Tampa, FL for the past 11 years.
Stephen was a senior property appraiser for the City of Tampa for the past 10 years. He was also a former jockey and horse trainer at both Saratoga Springs and the former New England Raceway.
A devoted brother, son and uncle, Stephen enjoyed frequent trips visiting his family around the country. He was an avid horse racing fan and also enjoyed following all of the New England sports.
Beloved husband of Stacey (Seaman). Loving son of Theresa (Lynch) Thompson of Foxborough and the late Paul R. Thompson. Devoted brother of Paul Jr. and his wife Georgia of Hernando Beach, FL, Kevin of Rehoboth, Brian and his wife Jaina of Scottsdale, AZ, and John Thompson and Ann Marie Geary both of Foxborough. Adoring uncle of Shawn, Hunter, Tyler, Spencer Anne, Samantha, Elizabeth and Trenton.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, January 11, from 4-8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. in Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 53 Carpenter St. in Foxborough. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Foxborough.
