Foxboro-Christopher Michael Hassett, age 33, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, died unexpededly at his home on Monday, April 6, 2009.

Christopher was born in Lowell on February 8, 1976. He was a Foxboro High School Graduate, Class of 1994 and proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He was a graduate of Bridgwater State College, Class of 2001 where he studied psychology and journalism. Christopher continued his education while working full time for various firms in Minneapolis. He earned his nursing assistant certificate on March 18, of this year.

Christopher was an avid traveler and an avid reader. He loved to read Greek mythology and history. He was also an avid writer. He was very politically active in city issues in Minneapolis.

Beloved son of Michael J. and Mary C. (Silva) Hassett of Foxboro. Devoted Brother of Stephen and his wife Darcey and their six sons Tony, Austin, Devin, Cameron, Kaden, and Kolby. Other siblings include Sean, Beth and Jason Hassett all of Foxboro. Loving nephew of Mary Brunnelle of Harwich, James and Flo Hassett of Lowell, Robert and Linda Hassett of Truro, Jack and Brenda Hassett of Lowell, Richard and Mary Alice Ste. Marie of Lowell, Patricia and her late husband Joseph F. Silva of Lowell, Manuel and Shannon Silva of Middletown, RI, Raymond and Brenda Silva of Lowell and Pauline Branco of Lowell.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a memorial visitation on Thursday, April 16, from 10-12 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South St. in Foxboro center. A brief memorial service will be held at the conclusion of the memorial visitation.
