Henry Warren Leighton Foxboro- Henry Warren Leighton, age 81, died on Monday, December 17, 2007 at his home in Foxboro surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Henry and Jean (Leighton) Markert. Henry was born in Tewksbury on September 15, 1926. He married his wife Jeannette (Pouliot) at St. Mary’s Church in Taunton on July 15, 1943. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Henry worked for over 50 years at Automatic Machine Products in Attleboro until his retirement in 1991. His hobbies included golfing, hunting and he was a licensed airplane pilot. He was a member of the Attleboro Elks, Foxboro Country Club and Stone E. Lea Golf Course. Henry enjoyed taking his friends out who were unable to get out on their own. After a long search for his family members, he was united with his siblings for the first time in 1998. Beloved husband of Jeannette Leighton. Loving father of Bruce Leighton, Steven Leighton, Donald Leighton and his wife Kathie, and Cherie and her husband Scott Goodwin all of Foxboro and Wayne Leighton and his wife Mia of Mililani, HI. Devoted grandfather of Donald Jr., Jason, Nick, Jack, Jesse and Brian. Brother of Jean Rappold, Florence Bisbing and Henry Markert all of PA and the late Dorothy Clarkson. Also survived by 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral InformationRelatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, December 20, from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South St., Foxboro. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter St., Foxboro. Interment with U.S. Navy Honors to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxboro.
