Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Sister
Foxborough-Dorothy Marie (Ruprecht) Pelland, age 77, passed peacefully on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at her home in Foxborough. She was the daughter of the late Joseph D. and Helen G. (Grant) Ruprecht.
Dorothy was born in Boston on May 22, 1933. She was a graduate of Mission High School and earned her LPN license from nursing school in Boston. She and her late husband Robert were married at Mission Church in Boston in June of 1953. Formerly of Dedham and Mattapan, she has been a Foxborough resident for the past 15 years.
Dorothy was a Nurse at the Village Manor Nursing Home in Mattapan until her retirement in 1996. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She had many interests including flower and tomato gardening, feeding birds, reading and spending time at her home in Ossipee, NH. In later years she enjoyed the companionship and comfort from her special pet dog Nellie.
Wife of the late Robert E. Pelland. Beloved mother of Robert P. Pelland and his wife Susan of Foxborough, Eugene Pelland of Stoughton and Linda Brandon of Taunton. Loving Grandmother of Christopher Pelland and his wife Kristie and their children Lilly and Mia, Nicole and her husband Patrick Walsh who are expecting their first child in October and Robert S. Pelland. Sister of William Ruprecht and his late wife Carol of Randolph, Paul Ruprecht and his wife Eleanor of Wrentham, Frances and her husband Ronald Sylvester of Weymouth and the late Joseph, Helen Boudreau, Robert and Edward. Sister in-law of Frank Boudreau of NH and Rosette Ruprecht of MD. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, June 27, from 4-8 at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. in Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10 at St. Mary’s Church in Foxborough. Interment to follow at Vine Lake Cemetery in Medfield.
