Devoted Husband, Father and Son

Brian William Pickering, Sr. age 61 died at his home in Brockton on Saturday, November 24 surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. Brian was the son of Florence Schaillee and William R. Pickering and the step son of Hyman Rosman.

Brian was born on October 18, 1946 in Oxnard, CA and spent his childhood in Southie. From there he moved to S. Weymouth where he graduated from High School in 1964. After graduating Brian spent some time in the Army National Guard but later turned to school, studying business at Northeastern University and Harvard Business School. After many successful years with Friendly’s, Brian opened his own “Pickering’s Restaurant and Pub” in Walpole. Brian later went on to selling cars, finally retiring earlier this year to begin day trading for himself.

Beloved husband of Donna Pickering. Devoted father of Brian W. Pickering, Jr. of Boston, Kerri L. Pickering of Boston and Brett P. Pickering of Foxboro. Grandfather of Brayden A. Pickering. Loving brother of Candice Lawrence Flaherty of South Boston, Deborah Bonarrigo of Weymouth, Daniel Rosman of Rockland, Craig Rosman of PA and David Rosman of Rockland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, November 27 from 4 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 28 at 9 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxboro.
