Alan L. Hanna, age 69, died on Wednesday, September 6, at his home in Foxboro. He was the son of the late Archibald and Betty (Morrison) Hanna. Alan was born in Norwood on June 6, 1937 and was a life long resident of Foxboro. He was a graduate of Foxboro High School class of 1955. He was a graduate of Dean Junior College of Franklin and attended The University of Richmond and Boston University. Alan and his wife Alice where married at the Bethany Congregational Church on September 19, 1958. He retired from the Foxboro, Company in 1987 as a controller after 30 years of service. After his retirement from the Foxboro, Co. he owned and operated Hanna Engineering of Foxboro. Alan was an accomplished woodworker and machinist and was responsible for the maintenance of the church steeple clock at the Bethany Congregational Church. He was president of the board of directors for the Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxboro. He was an avid golfer and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Beloved husband of Alice (Brunell) Hanna. Loving father of Lynn Neufell of Norton, Mark Hanna of Foxboro and the late Karen Hanna. Brother of the late Marjorie Cleveland. Devoted grandfather of Jessica, Danielle, Adam and Marky. Funeral InformationRelatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, September 10, from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral service will be held on Monday September 11, at 11 AM at the Bethany Congregational Church, 3 Rockhill St. in Foxboro. Interment to follow at the Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxboro.
