Francis Angelo Mario Torre

August 23, 1923 - March 14, 2008

Frank Torre, a Foxborough resident for 42 years died March 14. He was 84.
Frank was born in East Boston on August 23, 1923. He began work as a watchmaker in 1933 and, with the exception of two years during World War II when he worked on bomber guidance systems at the Bendix Corporation in Norwood, Frank maintained a love for watches that eventually led to a ten year teaching career at the North Bennett Street School in Boston’s North End.
After retiring, Frank spent 17 years as a volunteer delivering food to senior citizens throughout Foxborough for the Meals on Wheels program.

Preceeded in death by his parents, Angelo Torre and Annie Torre, his son Michael, sister Emma Glowka, brothers-in-law George Bernazzani and Edward Bernazzani and nephew Danny McKenna.

Frank is survived by his wife of 58 years Gladys, his sons Shawn and Bruce and his beloved grandchildren Nicholas, Marisa and Patrick as well as daughters-in-law Adrienne and Sharon.

He is also survived by his brother Pasqual (Pat) Torre of Webster, New York, sister Philomena (Sonny) Bernazzani of Walpole and Adeline Bernazzani of Weston, Florida by his loving and supportive nieces Janice Hillery of Walpole and Delia McKenna of Norwood and their families and Mary Sandels of Weston FL and Linda Dolan of Tampa FL.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to calling hours on Wednesday, March 19, from 2-5 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street Foxboro.
