Ethel A. MacFarlane

Foxborough-Ethel A. MacFarlane, age 89, died on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Irma (Woods) Keating.

Ethel was born in Wakefield on July 25, 1919. She was a former long time resident of Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School Class of 1937. She was also a graduate of the Wilfred Beauty Academy in Boston. She and her husband Donald were married on August 27, 1939 at their home in Raynham.

She and her sister Mildred Wagner owned and operated the We-Tu Beauty Salon in Mansfield. Ethel retired from the Foxborough Company as an assembler and final inspector after seven years of service retiring in 1979.

Beloved wife of the late Donald P. MacFarlane. Loving sister in-law of Virginia M. Keating of Mansfield. Aunt of Robin Nunes and Jill Anthony of Mansfield, Kenneth Keating of Foxborough and David Laprise of North Attleboro. Sister of the late Mildred Wagner, Arthur Keating, Kenneth Keating and Muriel Laprise.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday from 12-1PM at the Roberts & and Sons Funeral Home 30 South St. in Foxborough center. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 1 PM for an interment service at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
