Joan E. Hickey

N. Attleboro – Joan E. Hickey, age 71, died on Saturday, September 5 at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Concord, NH after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Albert Schmitz and Evelyn (Miller) Williams.

Joan was born in Boston on March 25, 1938 and was educated in Boston Public Schools. She lived in the Boston area for most of her life and moved to Sharon in the 1980’s. Joan was a waitress at several restaurants in Boston. She was a devoted grandmother and great grandmother.

Wife of the late Albert F. Hickey, Jr. Mother of Mark Hickey of Sharon and Daytona, FL and Susan and her husband Paul Collupy of N. Attleboro. Devoted grandmother of Timothy, Nicole, Erin, Jacqueline, Steven and Brian. Great grandmother of Maddison, Morgan, Mackenzie, Connor, Camryn and Riley. Also survived by two brothers, five sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, September 10, from 12 – 2 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 2 pm at the conclusion of calling hours. Interment to follow at Springbrook Cemetery, Mansfield.
