Celeste “Sally” Mary (Bernado) Barros, age 90, died at her home in Foxboro Sunday, January 1, 2006, the feast day of Mary, Mother of God. Over the past several weeks she was surrounded by her family and friends. Born on December 12, 1915 in Dighton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Laura (Veiga) Bernado. Sally was a Founder and Partner of Barros Electric Co. She was very active in Foxboro and surrounding communities as a 4-H Leader, was a member of the Foxboro Community Club, the Foxboro Women’s Club and was a long time communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Foxboro. Sally married her late husband, Frank Barros on October 4, 1941 in Taunton. Loving mother of Rosemary Walus of Foxboro, John Barros of Foxboro, Mary Signoriello of North Attleboro, Frank Barros of Foxboro and Laura Bumpus of Medfield. Sister of Anibal Bernado of Taunton. Cherished grand mother of fifteen and great grandmother of thirteen. Funeral InformationFriends and family are cordially invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, January 3 from 4 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 4 at 9 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Donations Information
