Foxborough – Dorothy Louise (Anderson) Craddock, age 93, died November 16, 2009 at the Southeast Rehabilitaion and Skilled Care Center in North Easton, MA, surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. Dorothy took ill just three days after enjoying her birthday as seen in the accompanying photo celebrating her day. Daughter of the late John C. and Abbie C. (Buttrick) Anderson. Dorothy was born on October 3, 1916. Dorothy graduated from Foxborough High School, Class of 1934 and Wheelock College in 1938 specializing in kindergarten education. She married her late husband Howard Craddock on June 30, 1945 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Mansfield. She first taught in East Foxborough at the former Pratt School with multiple grades in one classroom. She had a kindergarten program at St. Mark’s Church. She retired from the Burrell School. For her love of children, after retirement, she was a substitute teacher. She had many wonderful and humorous stories. Dorothy loved her family, always had a smile and a sense of humor. She was known as the best cookie baker. She loved music and singing. She loved her dog Rudie. Dorothy was a life-long resident of Foxborough, the last years she has lived with her beloved daughter Jean Ryan and her husband Bob in Norton. She also leaves a beloved daughter Judy Malagrida of North Attleboro. She was the beloved grandmother of Lisa and Michael Darling, Mark Malagrida, Frank Albernaz, Brian and Katie Malagrida, Christine Malagrida, Mark Rogers, Jennifer Malagrida, Jaime Oldmixon, TJ and Ginnette Ryan and Nicholas and Cat Malagrida. Godmother of Deborah Gentile. She was the loved great grand mother to Joshua, Ethan and Abby Darling and Gabriel and Sophie Rogers and was expecting two more precious great grandbabies in March and May. Funeral InformationRelatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, November 24 starting at 9 am at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday at St. Mark’s Church, 116 South Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery.
