Foxborough-Patricia Mary Guy, age 76, died on Friday, February 27, 2009 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Leard and Viola (McKinnon) Remsen. Patricia was born in Boston on June 7, 1932 and was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School. She graduated from Mary Brooks Junior College in Boston in 1951. She and her husband Edwin C. Guy were married at The Old South Church in Boston on August 7, 1954. Patricia first worked as a medical research assistant for Dr. Louis K. Diamond, the pediatric hematologist who recognized and first described the problem of blood group incompatibility between mother and unborn child commonly known as the Rh factor. In the 1970s she later worked at Guy’s Sport Shop and Mom’s Bakery, both in Foxborough before working with developmentally challenged adult clients as manager of Marion Moore Hall at the Wrentham State School, Wrentham, MA. Patricia was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of Post 93 American Legion in Foxborough and was a former Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack 104 in Foxborough. She was a charter member of the William R. Lewis Elementary School PTA in Foxborough, Secretary of the Foxborough Clown Club. The Clown Club was a group of volunteers who would provide “clown” hospital visits to sick children in the Boston area during the 1960’s. She was also a former secretary of the Foxborough Youth Hockey Booster Club in the early 1970’s. Patricia would say her greatest accomplishments were raising five children and being “Tutu” (grandmother) to her twelve grandchildren. Wife of the late Edwin C. Guy, Sr. Beloved mother of Edwin C. Guy and his wife Jennifer of Foxborough. Sister of the late Leard D. Remsen, Jr. Loving grandmother of Brittany, Stephanie, Peter, Kristen, Candy, Nikki, Marlo, Marissa, Becca, Jenna, Max and Josh.. Funeral InformationRelatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, March 5 from 4 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6 at 11 am at the Bethany Congregational Church, 3 Rockhill Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Foxborough.
