John R. Jones

May 14, 1930 - March 17, 2010

Foxborough-John R. Jones, age 79, died unexpectedly at his home in Foxborough on Wednesday, March 17, 2010. He was the son of the late John and Margaret (Hoering) Jones.

John was born in Boston on May 14, 1930 and was a graduate of Boston English High School. He was a long time resident of Roslindale and has been a resident of Foxborough for the past 25 years.

John was a retired master electrician. He worked for many years for Broadway Electrical in South Boston and was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 103. John enjoyed camping at Second Beach in Rhode Island and camping in New Hampshire. He was a long time member of the Independent Sportsman’s Club in Foxborough.

Beloved uncle of Yvonne Stein of West Roxbury and devoted grand uncle of Brenda, Tracey and Lisa. Also survived by several cousins.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 12 Noon the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. in Foxborough center. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to funeral service. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery in West Roxbury.
