Albert J. Massicott

Albert Joseph Massicott, age 79, died Wednesday, December 27 at Caritas Norwood Hospital surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Alfred and Isabelle (Church) Massicott.

Albert was born on June 13, 1927 in Northfield, VT where he was a graduate of Franklin High School. He proudly served his country in the US Army During WWII. He married his wife Ruth A. (Donnelly) on November 30, 1963 at St. Mary’s Church in Pawtucket, RI.

Albert was employed as a lineotype operator for several years at the Plimpton Press in Norwood. He also worked at several newspapers including the Milford Daily News and the Boston Globe, as well as the Foxboro Company. He was a New England Patriot’s fan and enjoyed gardening. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and visiting the US National Parks.

Loving husband of Ruth A. (Donnelly) Massicott. Beloved brother of Arthur of Hopkinton, MA and Richard of Marietta, GA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours on Friday, December 29 from 4 to 7 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 30 at 9 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment with military honors to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxboro.
