Chester Arthur Jackman

September 27, 1943 - October 15, 2009

Principal Instructor and Course Developer at Invensys Foxboro

Chester A. Jackman age 66 died early on Thursday morning October 15, 2009 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Edna G. (Stepnik) Jackman of Mansfield and the late Chester I Jackman.

He was raised in Taunton and graduated in 1961 from Taunton High School and he attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He retired in 2006 as a principal instructor – course development at Invensys of Foxboro after 39 years.

Chester served with the U. S. Airforce during the Vietnam war as a technician with the 90th Missile Maintenance Squadron (SAC). He was honorably discharged as an Airman 1st Class in 1967. He was a member of the Mansfield Lions Club, the Foxboro Company 10 and 25 Years clubs, and was past president of the Mansfield Little League. He was an avid cross stitcher and loved doing his sudoku puzzels.

Chester is survived by his wife Geraldine (Mahoney) Jackman, his son Wayne and his wife Cindy Jackman of Mansfield, and his daughters Julie Jackman and her partner Theresa Smithey of Middleboro, Melissa McCarthy of Mansfield and Tiffany and her husband Stephen Kimball of Bolton, MA. And his sister Patricia A. Jackman of South Easton. He is survived by four grandchildren, Brandon Jackman, Arianna and Collin McCarthy and Mark Chester Kimball

Funeral Information

Calling Hours at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home 30 South Street Foxborough on Thursday October 22 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Service on Friday October 23 at the funeral home at 11AM.
