Francis G. Brenton

Retired Foxboro Police Patrolman Francis G. Brenton, age 79, of Foxboro, died Tuesday, January 17 at Caritas Norwood Hospital. He was the son of the late Richard and Mary (Cheeseman) Brenton.
Frank was born in Boston on May 24, 1926. He was educated in Boston Public Schools and proudly served his country in the United States Navy in WWII. Frank married his wife Elizabeth (Kelly) Brenton at the Murray Unitarian Universalist Church in Attleboro on June 4, 1989. He was a long time Foxboro Police Patrolman, retiring in 1981.
Frank was a member of the Cosmopolitan Lodge, A.F. and A.M. of Stoughton and was also a member of the Alepo Shrine in Wilmington, MA. Frank was a member of the American Legion Post 106 of Sharon and was active in the Foxboro Senior Citizens programs.

Loving father of Barbara Brenton of Foxboro, Beverly Anderson of Medfield, Bonnie Dodier and Brenda Newcomb of Sanbornville, NH and Beth Schiliro of Mansfield. Loving Step-Father of Elizabeth Bayer of N. Attleboro, Cynthia Tuminelli of Plainville, Paul Callahan and Dennis Callahan of Foxboro, Susan Moody of N. Attleboro and Maureen Neureuter of Mansfield. Adoring Grandfather of 22. Brother of Maxwell Brenton and Roy Brenton of Quincy, Derek Brenton of Randolph, Albert Brenton of Medfield, John Brenton of Halifax and Doris Benton and Corrine Atherton of FL. Much loved brother-in-law of Al Follen of W. Roxbury. Former husband of Harriet (Cameron) Brenton of Foxboro. Brother of the late Gordon, Richard, Kenneth and Robert Brenton and Helen Follen.
Funeral Information
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours on Friday, January 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 21, at 11 am at the Original Congregational Church of Wrentham, 1 East Street, Wrentham, MA. Interment to follow with U.S. Navy honors at Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxboro.
