Edward Bianchi

Edward Bianchi, age 73, died on Thursday, July 12, at his home in Middleboro surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Delmo J. and Helen P. (Rice) Bianchi. He has been a resident of Oak Point in Middleboro for the past five years and was a former long time resident of Foxboro.

Edward was born on September 29, 1933 in Boston and was a native of Dorchester. He was a graduate of Boston Trade School and a graduate of Northeastern University Class of 1979. Edward proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He and his wife Arlene were married on September 15, 1959 in Dorchester.

Edward worked for Honeywell of Billerica for over 33 years and retired as a project manager in 1992. He was a member of St. Alban’s Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Foxboro. He enjoyed taking care of his property and yard work. He also enjoyed playing bocce and cards with his friends at Oak Point. He was a devoted husband and father.

Beloved husband of Arlene M. (Bornstein) Bianchi. Loving father of Scott Bianchi and his wife Eileen of Medfield and H. Curtis Bianchi and his wife Amy of Brockton. Devoted grandfather of Ryan and Shannon Bianchi and grandson to be Jacob Edward Bianchi. Brother of Jeanie Delmar of NH, Marie Garvey of Bridgewater and the late Eleanor Hirtle and Eugene Bianchi.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, July 15, from 2-6 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 AM at Bethany Congregational Church, 3 Rockhill St. in Foxboro. Interment to follow with U.S. Army Honors at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
