George M. Cunningham

Loving Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather Sharon – George M. Cunningham, age 81, died on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Caritas Norwood Hospital surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. George was the son of the late Thomas and Ellice (Pinkham) Cunningham.
George was born on September 12, 1928 in Milford. George proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married his wife Marion (Durkee) on October 16, 1949 at the First Baptist Church in Sharon. He was employed as a stationary operating engineer at B.T.E. Engineering. He retired in 1992.
Loving father of Glen M. Cunningham of Sharon, Linda S. Cunningham of Sharon and Roy E. Cunningham of Leonardtown, MD. Devoted grandfather of Quinn Spera, Thomas Cunningham, Christopher Cunningham and George Cunningham. Great grandfather of Lucy, Lana and Lily Spera.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, November 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 18 at 11 am at the First Baptist Church, 2 South Main Street, Sharon. Interment to follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton, MA with United States Army Honors. For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.
