Roger Joseph Blais Roger Joseph Blais, age 85, died on Sunday, April 2 at the Quincy Medical Center. He was the son of the late Gideon and Denise (Poulin) Blais. Roger was born in Lewiston, ME on December 20, 1920. He was a long time Foxboro resident and lived in Walpole for the last eight years. Roger proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. He worked for over twenty five years as a heavy equipment operator for Boro Sand & Gravel of Plainville. He retired in 2003. Roger was an avid fisherman and enjoyed NASCAR racing. He was also an avid New England Patriots fan and a Red Sox fan. Husband of the late Ann (Sawyer) Blais. Long time companion of Carmela (Carchedi) Sawyer. Father of Carol-Ann LaPlante, Mary-Ann Fincher, Roger Blais, Fred Blais, Donald Blais and the late Edward Blais. Also survived by twenty five grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Funeral InformationFriends and relatives are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, April 5 from 4 to 7 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 6 at 9 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mechanic Street, Foxboro.
