Neil W. Sterling

Foxborough-Neil Warren Sterling, age 75, died on Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Caritas Norwood Hospital surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Harold and Mary (Lutz) Sterling.

Neil was born in Boston on November 3, 1934. Neil proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He has been a resident of Foxboro for the past four years and was formerly of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Neil was an Aeronautical Engineer for NASA and worked closely with Martin Marietta for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and cherished the annual family reunion that was held every summer on Kentucky Lake in Benton, KY. He also loved bird watching and was an avid golfer. He was a devoted father and grandfather.

Beloved father of Carol and her husband Arthur Raulston of Foxborough and the late Kenneth Sterling. Loving grandfather Joshua Raulston of Attleboro, Michelle Raulston of Foxborough and Magan Sterling of WI. Brother of Joan Brant of IL and Robert Sterling of FL. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, December 11, from 4-7 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough.
