Vincent Victor Kirkell

Former Logan Air Traffic Controller Vincent Victor Kirkell, age 80, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at his home in Foxboro surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Anthony and Nellie (Durkais) Kirkell.
Vincent was born in Boston on January 20, 1927. He proudly served his country as a radioman in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He and his late wife Mary (Kerr) where married on December 28, 1951.
Vincent was a retired Air Traffic Controller at the Logan International Airport in Boston. He loved spending time with and caring for his family. He also loved music especially polkas and was an accordion and harmonica player. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was an upbeat and positive person.
Beloved Husband of the late Mary E. (Kerr) Kirkell. Loving Father of Deborah Kirkell-Howard formerly of Foxboro and Pat Chousa and her husband Manny Chousa of Foxboro. Grandfather of Matthew, Christine, P.J. and Jimmy. Step Grandfather of Lauren and her daughter Ava, Mike, Kate and Chris. Brother of Francis Humble of Marshfield and the late Benjamin and Steven Noyes and Anna Cappadona.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a calling hour on Thursday, April 5, from 11:30 AM-12: 30 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South Street in Foxboro. A Funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Roxbury.
