Arthur O. Clark, 82, lifelong resident of Foxboro, passed away January 16th. He was born in Boston, MA on July 2, 1926, son of Orell E. Clark and Winifred Tennyson. Art graduated from Foxboro High School, then served in the US Navy at the end of WWII as a Seaman First Class. He married his sweetheart Sonja (Sunnie) in June, 1949. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed vacations camping with his wife and children while traveling throughout the Northeast and Canada. He was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed skeet shooting, gardening and raising berries. Art was a long-time member of the Independent Sportsman Club in Foxboro. He and Sunnie belonged to a square dance club and loved dancing regularly. Art owned and operated C&L Motors, an auto repair shop in Foxboro for 30 years until retirement. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife in 1993 and leaves behind his daughter, Cheryl Labonte and husband John of Newmarket, NH, his son Arthur "Bud" Clark, Jr. and his wife Valerie, his 2 grandchildren, Corey and Kendra Clark of Wolfeboro, NH, his brother Philip Clark of Foxboro and several nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as a man of integrity with a kind and gentle soul, who knew how to enjoy and appreciate the simple things in life. He possessed an internal calm that brought comfort to those in his presence.
