Foxborough, - Dorothy O’Brien age 92 died Wednesday morning June 23, 2010 at her home.

Dorothy was born in Boston on February 12, 1918 the daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Nolan) Lambrecht. She was educated in the Jamaica Plain schools. She and John O’Brien were married in Boston April 14, 1950. They lived in Jamaica Plain and after a few years moved to Foxborough.

Dorothy’s pride and joy were all of her grandchildren with whom she loved spending every chance that she could. One of her greatest pleasures was traveling with her late husband John to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Dot was especially known for her great sense of humor and her “quick wit”. Dot will be sadly missed by her many friends especially her good friend of 50+ years, Edie whom they spent many hours joking and laughing.

She is survived by her Daughter Dorothy and her husband Richard Fleming of Foxboro and her son Larry and his wife Lorraine Birkbeck of Plainville. She is the grandmother of Patrick Fleming, and Brenda Fleming and her companion Eric Straka all of Foxboro, Lori and her husband Rich Linck of Maine, Kathleen and her husband Rob Baillie of Wareham, Kenny Fleming of S. Yarmouth, Larry Birkbeck and his companion Trish Rammel of Attleboro and Barbara and her husband Patrick Ryan of N. Attleboro and Matthew and his wife Stacey Birkbeck of Plainville. Also survived by five great grandsons and one great granddaughter and her sisters Rose Grennell of Walpole and Kate Squillante of Roslindale.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Saturday June 26, from 9AM to service time at 11AM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home 30 South Street, Foxborough, Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxborough.
