Valerie Topping
January 19, 1939 - January 16, 2012
Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Onset - formerly of Foxborough - Valerie Florence (King) Topping, age 72, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 16, 2012 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Cecelia (Stacy) King.
Valerie was born in Norwood on January 19, 1939. She has been a resident of Onset for the past 7 years and was formerly of Foxborough where she lived for 41 years. She graduated from Norwood High School in 1956. She was a retired corporate controller for 30 years with Reardon Associates of Dedham. In early years, Valerie enjoyed playing classical music. While in high school, she played the string bass and cello. Also through the years she enjoyed playing the piano. When she lived in Foxborough she bred and raised Siamese cats. She enjoyed traveling in her motor home and was a member of the Mass Beach Buggy Association (MBBA).
Wife of the late Donald W. Topping. Beloved mother of Barry and Marjorie Topping of Norfolk and Lauren and Samuel DeFazio of Mansfield. Grandmother of Gayle, Amanda, Erin, Alexandra, Colleen, Chelsea and Elizabeth. Great Grandmother of Haley, Logan, Austin, Garrett and Madelyn.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough between the hours of 10 AM and 12 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12 noon at the funeral home.
