James Glidwell Jr.

James Glidwell, Jr., age 60, died Sunday, May 24 at Massachusetts General Hospital. James is the son of James Glidwell, Sr. of KY and the late Dorothy (Carstensen) Carlson.

James was a native of Walpole and had resided in Rutland, VT for the past seven years. He was born on January 2, 1949 and attended Walpole Public Schools. He was a former member of the South Walpole Methodist Church. He was employed as a truck driver for Waste Management and formerly of Bliss Marine of Boston.

James enjoyed traveling throughout Vermont and enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid electronics buff working with radios, scanners, cb’s and tv’s.

Former husband of Pamela J. (Bain) Glidwell of Foxboro. Father of Andrew Glidwell of Millis and Amanda and Amy Glidwell, both of Foxboro. Grandfather of Emma O’Sullivan. Brother of Cheryl and her husband Ronald Watson of Derry, NH. Also survived by 20 nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, May 29 from 6 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30 at 10 am at the Victory Assembly of God Church, 67 High Plain Street, Sharon, MA. Interment to follow at Terrace Hill Cemetery, S. Walpole.
