John D. Lawton

Former Foxboro Company Employee

John “Jack” D. Lawton, age 82, a longtime Foxboro resident died at Caritas Norwood Hospital, on May 25, 2005. He was the son of the late Ernest W. and Claire (DeWitt) Lawton.

Born in Syracuse, NY on June 9, 1922, he was raised in Newton, MA where he attended Newton Public Schools. He worked for over 18 years as a design check at the Foxboro Company and retired in 1986. After his retirement, he worked for several years as a driver for Foxfield Taxi Service. He was an avid New England Sports fan.

Beloved husband of Elaine F. (Dumas) Lawton, of Foxboro. He is also survived by two sister in laws.

Funeral Information

Funeral services are omitted. A private burial will be held at the Bourne National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro.
