Yolanda Rivers

Yolanda (Bucchienari) Rivers, age 81, died at Caritas Norwood Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Walter Joseph Rivers who died on Sunday May 29.

Born in Roxbury on September 1, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Luigi and Maddalina (Pacini) Bucchienari. She graduated from Girls High School in Dorchester, class of 1941. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Loving mother of Joseph Rivers of Sharon, Elisa Mangano, Andrea Blaise and John rivers all of Foxboro, Stephen of Pembroke, Robert of Cumberland, RI and Madelyn Cheetham of Lincoln, RI. Sister of Ezio “Butch” Bucchienari of Winchester and the late Angelo Bucchienari, Attillo “Al” Pancini and Galliano “Gully” Pancini. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday June 6, from 4-7 at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South Street Foxboro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. She will be buried with her husband in Rock Hill Cemetery directly after the Funeral Mass.
