Alma Mary (Comeau) Jondro, age 84 died at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 4, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Lezin and Adelle (Gaudett) Comeau. Born September 12, 1920 in Comeauville, Nova Scotia, Canada. At the age of 2, she emigrated to the United States and settled in Foxboro with her family. Alma attended Foxboro Public Schools and married her husband, Laurence H. Jondro in 1942. Alma first worked for the former Hannah’s Restaurant in Foxboro where she first met Laurence. She and Laurence owned and operated the Cash Store in the late 50’s and early 60’s. She then worked for over 16 years as an assembler at the Foxboro Company, retiring in 1985. She was a devoted communicant of St. Mary’s Church and was a member of the Women’s Guild at St. Mary’s. Alma enjoyed rug hooking, crocheting and knitting. She and her husband operated the “Big Yard Sale” at 218 Main Street. Alma was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was everyone’s best friend. Loving mother of Alan D. and his wife Sara and Denis S. and his wife Lorraine, all of Foxboro. Loving sister of Charles Comeau of AL and Ella Clark of CO. Devoted grandmother of Heather, Harris, Holly, Eric, Paul and Christopher. Great grandmother of Mea and Brayden. Funeral InformationCalling hours will be Wednesday, June 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 9 at 9 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxboro. Donations Information
