Ruby A. (Garity) Mahoney, age 82 of Vero Beach, FL Died in Vero Beach on May 24, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Joseph I. And Alice (McDonnell) Garity.

She was born in Quincy on June 10, 1922 . She was a long time resident of Sharon and after retirement she and her husband Francis moved to Falmouth and wintered in Vero Beach, FL. They have been full time residents of Vero Beach for the past 6 years.

Ruby was a RN and first worked at Quincy Hospital. She the worked at Norwood Hospital for over 20 years and retired as Night Supervisor in 1985. She was a former Communicant of Our Lady of Sorrow’s Church in Sharon were she was a member of the Women’s Club. She was an avid Bridge player and loved the Boston Red Sox. She also loved to travel and enjoyed knitting and crocheting . Ruby was a Devoted Wife and cherished her children and grandchildren.

Loving mother Dennis M. of Kennett Square, PA, Stephen F. & his wife Margaret of Sandwich, Lawrence J. of New York, NY, John T. & his wife Marguerite of North Attleboro and Pamela J. & her Husband Wayne Delaney of Foxboro. Devoted Grandmother of Michael P. of St. James, FL, Peter C. & his wife Jennifer of Blue Bell, PA, Brian C. of Oreland, PA, Katherine M.. of Sandwich, Colleen A. & Kevin J. of North Attleboro and , Andrew J. and Kimberly A. Delany of Foxboro.G. Grandmother of Lauren of FL and Madeline of PA. Sister of Joseph I. Garity & his wife Gloria of Weymouth. Also survived by Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Funeral Friday June 10, at 8:am from the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South St. Foxboro, Followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:am at the Our Lady of Sorrow Church, 59 Cottage Street in Sharon. Calling Hours are omitted. Burial is private.
