Joseph A. Pierro
December 19, 1911 - June 11, 2005
Retired compositor for the Boston Globe Joseph A. Pierro, age 93, died Saturday June 11, at Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood. He was the son of the late Augustino and Anna Mari (Turco) Pierro.
Born in Boston on December 19, 1911. Former long time East Boston resident and has lived in Foxboro since 1978. Joseph was educated in the Boston Public School System. He was a compositor for the Boston Globe for over forty years, retiring in 1979. Joseph was a member of the Franklin Typographic Society.
Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Antoinette (Grande) Pierro. Loving father of William and his wife Nancy Peirro of Foxboro and Robert and his wife Kate Pierro of New York. Brother of Anthony Pierro of Winthrop. Also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
