Donald William Topping

Donald William Topping, age 69 died on Sunday, July 3rd, at Caritas Norwood Hospital. He was the son of the late Kenneth and Eleanor (Taylor) Topping.

Donald was a life long resident of Foxboro where he graduated from high school, the Class of 1954. For many years Donald was a self employed power equipment repairman, retiring in 1999. Donald also was an auto salesman at several area dealerships.

He was a direct descendant of Nehemiah Carpenter who was the first settler in the center of Foxboro. Donald enjoyed fishing and boating and loved music, photography and motorcycles. Most of all, Donald enjoyed his grandchildren, frequently picking them up from school. Donald was also a summer resident of Onset.

Husband of Valerie King-Topping of Onset. Loving father of Barry W. and his wife Marjory topping of Wrentham and Lauren C. Topping of Mansfield. Brother of Daniel Topping of Plainville, Charles Topping of Falmouth and Judy Lammi of Norton. Devoted grand father of Alexandra, Colleen and Chelsea Rackette, and Gayle Marie, Amanda and Erin Topping. Devoted great grand father of Haley Fedelia and Logan and Austin Burow.

Funeral Information

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, July 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street in Foxboro. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 11 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield.
