Janet Louise StrackAugust 14, 1917 - July 19, 2005
Janet Louise (Crocker) Strack, age 87, lifelong Foxboro resident, died suddenly at the Caritas Norwood Hospital on July 19. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Benton P. and Frances L. (Fairbank) Crocker, and wife of the late Noah A. Strack. Born in Foxboro on August 14, 1917, Janet was a Foxboro High School graduate, Class of 1935. Janet was a graduate of Salem State College, B.S. in Education and also attended Boston University. She began her teaching career at Stoughton .High School and then taught at Natick High School for 5 ½ years. She retired after twenty years at Franklin High School in 1977. She also taught Adult Education in Foxboro and taught evening college courses at Boston University. After her retirement in 1977, she worked as a secretary for the Foxboro Human Services. For many years, she was an active member of the Bethany Congregational Church, where she was a member of the Women’s Union. She was a member of the Foxboro Women’s Club, the Foxboro Historical Society, the Mass Retired Teacher’s Association and the AARP. She was the loving mother of Jane L. and husband William Bauser of Wrentham and Susan F. Strack of Foxboro. Devoted grandmother of William N. Bauser of Wrentham. Sister of the late Frances West, Edward Crocker and Franklin Crocker. Funeral InformationFriends and relatives are cordially invited to attend calling hours at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, July 21.
