Charles S. Street

September 05, 1910 - August 04, 2005

Retired Auto Body Mechanic

Charles Stanley Street, age 94,of Mansfield, formerly of Holiday, FL and former long time Foxboro resident died at the Caritas Norwood Hospital on August 4, 2005. He was the son of the late Harold and Jospehine (Stowell) Street.

He was born in Dedham on September 5, 1910. In the 1930’s and 40’s, Charles was a professional race car driver. Charles owned and operated The Charles Street Auto Body Shop on Linden Street in Foxboro for over 30 years. Before last year, he resided for 30 years in Holiday, FL.

Charles was an avid golfer and was a passionate Atlanta Braves fan. He also was a NASCAR enthusiast. Charles was a devoted father and grandfather.

He was the son of the late Harold Street and the late Josephine (Stowell) Street.

Daughter-Janice E. Mahoney and her husband Bob of Mansfield, Mass.
Daughter-Carolyn G. Hayes and her husband Roger of Foxboro, Mass.

Three Sons,
Son-Robert G. and his late wife Ann Street of Plainville, Mass.
Son-Charles W. Street and his wife Marcia of Rehoboth, Mass.
Son-Steven W. Street and his wife Connie of Florida

Twelve grandchildren
Twenty Three great-grandchildren

Funeral Information

Friends and family are kindly invited to calling hours on Saturday, August 13 from 1-4 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. Funeral and burial services will be private.
