Jessie Marie Cook

November 27, 1935 - September 11, 2005

Jessie Marie (Rose) Cook, age 69, died at her home in Foxboro, surrounded by her loving family, Friday, September 9. Daughter of the late Nicholas J. and Kathleen (DeFiore) Rose.

Graduate of Francis DeSales High School in Utica, NY; also attended Utica School of Commerce. Jessie volunteered much of her time to local fundraising events, Senior Center activities, the Orpheum Theatre IDC Committee and Down Town Revitalization Committee. Jessie also volunteered as a Boy Scout Den Leader and Brownie Leader while her boys were in Scouts. Jessie recently completed hospice training and has always cherished Hospice Services and the personnel who cared for her beloved father and herself, before succumbing to her lung cancer. Jessie was an accomplished cook and baker and creative decorator. She greatly enjoyed cooking for and entertaining friends and family. Jessie was a loving and devoted mother and sister and dear friend to many who will miss her energetic, giving and outgoing spirit.

Loving mother of Robert L. Cook and his wife Bessie Walker-Cook, Charles Brian Cook and the late Cameron Bradford Cook III. Devoted grandmother of Brandon Charles Cook and Benjamin Carlton Cook. Sister of Isabelle Rose-Reilly and her husband Joseph, Nicholas Rose and his wife Cynthia and Kathleen Rose-DePinto. Jessie also leaves loving nieces and a nephew; Peggy, Saundra, Susan and Joseph Reilly. She also leaves loving grand nieces and grand nephews; Tyler, Brandon, Kaelin and Brenna Reilly-Evans and Conner Reilly-O’Brien.

Funeral Information

Friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend calling hours Tuesday, September 13 from 7 to 9 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro on Wednesday, September 14 at 9 am.
