Ralph J. Petrillo Sr.

December 01, 1933 - June 28, 2007

USMC Veteran - Korean Conflict

Ralph Joseph Petrillo Sr., age 73, died on Thursday June 28, 2007 at his home in Foxboro surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Joseph and Adelina (Frongillo) Petrillo.

Ralph was born in Mansfield on December 1, 1933 and was educated in Mansfield Public Schools. After High School Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He and his wife Sandra (Foster) were married at St. Mary’s Church in Foxboro on May 21, 1960.

Ralph was a machine maintenance mechanic for the Foxboro Company for over 30 years. He retired in 1985. He loved to spend time camping with his wife at Nickerson State Park in Brewster. He loved the out doors and enjoyed fishing. He loved to tinker and fix things for his family and friends. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of Sandra J. (Foster) Petrillo. Loving father of Ralph J. Petrillo Jr. of Mansfield, Joanne M. Silva of Middleboro, Lisa J. Tarantino of North Attleboro, Diane M. Kelly of Norton and Kathleen A. Petrillo of Boston. Brother of Carrie Sequin of Mansfield, Harry Petrillo of South Carolina, Adeline Qualia of South Attleboro and the late Guido Petrillo, Phyllis Peach and Carmella MacDonald. Also survived by nine grand children, Emily, Jennifer, Philip, Richard, Jillian, Brenden, Matthew, Ashley and Olivia.

Funeral Information

Friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, July 1, from 3-7 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South St., Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 2, at 9 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St., Mansfield Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Foxboro.
