Russell Marston Lawton

November 19, 1945 - September 23, 2005

Massachusetts and Quebec Cranberry Grower

Russell Marston Lawton, age 59, died Friday Sept. 23 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada after a long illness. He was the son of Norman Lawton of Foxboro and the late Lillie (Johnson) Lawton.

Born in Attleboro on November 19, 1945, he was a long time Foxboro resident. Prior to moving to Quebec, he was a long time Middleborough, MA resident. Russell was a 1964 graduate of Norfolk Agriculural High School and a graduate of UMASS Stockbridge. Russell was the owner and operator of R.M. Lawton Cranberry, Inc. for over thirty years.

Besides his father, Russell leaves a daughter, Gloria Lawton of London, England and a son, Craig Lawton and his wife Mindy of Raleigh, NC. Devoted grandfather of Brianne and Joshua Lawton of Raleigh, NC. Loving brother of Norma Faria and Edward Lawton, both of Foxboro and the late Steven Lawton.

Funeral Information

Friends and relatives are cordially invited to calling hours on Wednesday, September 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South street, Foxboro. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 11 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, South Street, Foxboro
