Aspiring Author Laura Anne (Hoffman) Day, age 54, of Sandwich, died Monday, January 2 after a long illness. Formerly of Okinawa, Japan, Texas and California.
Born on March 25, 1951 in Norwood, she was the daughter of Eunice Hoffman of Foxboro and the late George Hoffman.
Graduate of Foxboro High School, Class of 1969 and attended Becker College in Worcester, MA. Laura married her husband Stephen at St. Mark’s Church in Foxboro on June 19, 1970. She was employed as a secretary for the Army Corps of Engineers at the Cape Cod Canal. Laura was an aspiring author and had been published in several regional magazines and newspapers. Laura also loved cats.
Loving wife of thirty five years of Stephen Day. Beloved mother of LCpl Timothy A. Day of Okinawa, Japan who was born on the Sasebo Naval Base, on the Island of Kyushu and Andrew G. Day who was born in Misawa, and his wife Marilyn of Wareham. Cherished grandmother of Cameron and Luke of Wareham. Sister of Susan E. Conner and her husband Roland of Derry, NH.

Friends and family are cordially invited to calling hours at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro on Friday, January 6 from 4 to 8 pm.
