Former Foxboro Selectman Peter Dixon Stanton, age 64 died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of Joan (Leonard) of Foxboro. Devoted father to Amy McCarthy and her husband Bill of Fairfield, CT, Lisa Stanton of Norwood, Mark Stanton and his wife Maureen of Royersford, PA and Sarah Stanton of Norwood.
Cherished grandfather to Emily and Maggie McCarthy and Mark Stanton, Jr. Dear son of Marguerite and the late Alden Stanton of Westerly, RI and brother of Jane Stanton of CT and Paul Stanton and his wife Margie of CA.
Peter grew up in Mystic, CT and was a graduate of the University of Connecticut and Suffolk Law School. Peter practiced law in Framingham for the past 30 years. An active member of the Foxboro community he was a former member of the Town Advisory board and served as a Town Selectman for 6 years. An avid skier and golfer Peter was a member of the Foxboro Country Club.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, November 5 from 4-8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St, Foxboro. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 am on Tuesday for interment services at 11:30 am at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
