Robert E. Peterson

Loving Husband and Father Foxborough-Robert “Bob” Edwin Peterson, age 62, died on Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Caritas Norwood Hospital. He was the son of the late Edwin and Eleanor (Kenefick) Peterson.
Bob was born on October 26, 1947 in Medford. For 25 years, he proudly served his country both in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later as a member of the United States Army Reserve. He married his wife Judith on November 11, 1972 at St. Augustine's church in South Boston. He has been a Foxborough resident for the past 37 years.
Bob was a graduate of UMASS Boston where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He worked for over 33 years for Verizon in Taunton as a cable splicer. A cook by trade in the Army, Bob enjoyed preparing meals for his family and friends. He also enjoyed yearly visits to Aruba with his wife and was an avid New England sports fan.
Beloved husband of Judith A. (Ross) Peterson. Loving father of Melissa Peterson of New York, NY, Jennifer Peterson of South Boston and Robert Peterson of Foxborough. Brother of Richard Peterson of Plymouth and Jeanne Peterson of Wellfleet.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, November 29 from 1-5 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street in Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 53 Carpenter Street in Foxborough. Interment to follow with U.S. Army Honors at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Foxborough.
