Violet F. Mahoney

January 22, 1924 - June 19, 2007

Devoted Mother and Grandmother

Violet J. (Rollins) Mahoney, age 83, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Caritas Norwood Hospital after a brief illness. Violet was the daughter of the late Alfred and Edith (Norris) Rollins.

Violet was born in Everett on January 22, 1924. She worked as a machine operator for over 15 years for the Dennison Manufacturing Company in Framingham. She retired in 1987.

Violet was a former parishioner of the All Saints Church in Roxbury. She enjoyed sun bathing and visits to the beach. She was an avid gardener. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Beloved wife of the late John E. Mahoney. Loving mother of Jean Lampro and her partner Edward Guerrini of Foxboro and FL, John Mahoney of Woonsocket and Robert Mahoney and his wife Cathy of Millville. Devoted grandmother of Laurie Rizzelli and her partner Steve Bennett of Foxboro, Daniel Lampro and his wife Michelle of FL, Dennis Mahoney and his wife Tracey of FL and Michael Mahoney and his fiancé Kelly of Fall River. Sister of Francis Rollins of AZ. Also survived by several great-grandchildren.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, June 22, from 5-8 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM at St. Mary’s Church in Foxboro. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Foxboro.
