Donna Ricker

January 19, 1950 - December 29, 2008

Owner of Morse & Beggs Monument Company

Donna Ricker of Foxboro passed away suddenly on December 29, 2008. She was born in North Attleboro on January 19, 1950 and was a longtime resident of Foxboro. She was the beloved wife of John H. Ricker and the daughter of the late Donald (Bud) and Irene Morse Beggs. Donna graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1968 and from the Forsythe Dental Institute. She was a dental hygienist for many years in the office of Dr. Charles Dean in Foxboro and also worked in the family monument business; with her father's death in 2007, she became the third generation owner of Morse and Beggs Monument Company of North Attleboro, where her gentle touch showed in her care and concern for clients in their time of bereavement.

Donna had many interests, spending as much time in the outdoors as possible, enjoying bicycling and canoeing. She loved nature and creation, expressed in her long walks on the beach and intimate knowledge of the Foxboro State Forest, organic gardening and knitting. She was knowledgeable about alternative health care and nutrition, and exemplified this in her life.

She will be greatly missed by her family members, including her brothers-in-law, Frank & Helen Ricker of Indiana; Chris & Beth of Georgia; Steve of Washington; and Jim & Michaela of Arizona; and her sisters-in-law, Alyne Ricker and her husband, Maury Frieman, of Westwood; Mary Ricker of Stoughton; Claire & Kyle Quick of Wyoming; Julie & Bob Pritchard of Foxboro; Joanne & Phil Maynard of Chelmsford; Beth & Matt Tragert of Ohio; and Margy & John Pohlman of Connecticut; and her many nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly. She will also be missed by her many best friends, who came from all areas of her life, and by her cousins and business associates.
