Daniel M. Watson, age 78, died on Friday, August 4 at the Caritas Norwood Hospital surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Harold and Sarah (MacDonald) Watson.

Daniel was born in Boston on March 28, 1928. He was a long time resident of Walpole and a Foxboro resident for the past twelve years. He proudly served his country in the US Coast Guard during World War II. He married his wife Frances L. (MacDonald) on July 2, 1951 at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston.

Daniel was a retired Captain from the Boston Fire Department. He retired in July, 1983. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Foxboro.

Beloved husband of Frances L. (MacDonald) Watson. Loving father of Christine Mylod of Bourne and Maureen Turilli of Clearwater, FL. Brother of Harry Watson of Long Beach, CA. Grandfather of Shannon Dohring of Attleboro and Jonathan Turilli of Clearwater, FL. Great grandfather of Gavin and Jaelyn Dohring of Attleboro.

Funeral Information

Friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend a graveside service with military honors at the National Cemetery in Bourne on Thursday, August 10 at 1 pm. Calling hours are omitted.
