Stanley M. Robinson, Sr.

Stanley M. Robinson, Sr., age 97, of Carver, formerly of Walpole and Mansfield, died Friday, March 31 at the Oak Hill Nursing Home in Middleboro, surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Matthew and Ellen Mary (Turbeyfield) Robinson.

Born in Hyde Park on May 26, 1908, he was educated in Walpole Schools and was a graduate of the Class of 1925 and was the class treasurer. He held an amateur radio permit, with the call letters W1JJQ from an early age. Mr. Robinson proudly served his country in WWII as a servicing, repair and installation person of radar for the US Navy on the east coast. He married his wife Margaret O. (MacNeill) in Norwood on June 1, 1927. He was a chemist at Hollingsworth & Vose in E. Walpole, retiring in 1972 after forty five years of service.

Husband of the late Margaret O. (MacNeill) Robinson. Loving father of Stanley M. Robinson, Jr., Ellen M. Tarpey, Richard A. Robinson and Charles A. Robinson, all of Carver, Marjorie I. Snow of Foxboro and the late Lois E. Ela. Loving grandfather of nineteen, great grandfather of thirty seven and great great grandfather of nine.

Funeral Information

Friends and relatives are kindly invited to calling hours on Tuesday, April 4 from 10 am- 12 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at noon on Tuesday. Interment to follow at Knollwood Memorial Park.
