James Andrew Shea Sr.
December 03, 1939 - January 17, 2007
Devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather James Andrew Shea, Sr., age 67, died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton after a long illness. He was the son of the late Leo P. and Katherine (Ellis) Shea.
James was born in Boston on December 3, 1939 and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School Class of 1957. He has been a resident of Foxboro for the past 38 Years. He and his wife Jane were married at St. Johns Church in West Roxbury on March 11, 1959. He worked for many years as a mailer for the Boston Globe.
Mr. Shea enjoyed camping with his family at Peters Pond Camp Ground in Sandwich and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was also a member of A.A. and was an avid ham radio operator – KC1PY.
Beloved husband of Jane W. (Keough) Shea. Loving father of Donna M. and her husband Paul Leear of Foxboro and James Shea and his wife Sue of Gulf Breeze, FL. Brother of Leo Shea of Norwood and Margaret Shea of Taunton and the late Katherine McGuire and Daniel Shea. Devoted grandfather of PJ Leear, James Andrew “Drew” Shea, III and Ryan P. Shea.
Also survived by Barbara and James Curreri, Robert and Ann Keough, Mary Shea and Michael and Saundra Molinari.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, January 19 from 2-8 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 20, at 9 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro.
