Patrick James Ercolano, age 59, died at his home in Norton on Tuesday, August 14, 2007,surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. Patrick was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Coggins) Ercolano.

Patrick was born in Boston on November 26, 1947 and was a graduate of Roslindale High School. He has been a Norton resident for the past 23 years. Patrick proudly served his country in the United States Army 11th Calvary during the Vietnam War.

Patrick worked for many years as a Parcel Post Truck Driver for the United State Postal Service in Boston. He was an avid boater and was long time member of the Dorchester Yacht Club. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his property. He also enjoyed preparing Italian meals for his family and friends.

Patrick was an avid New England sports fan and also enjoyed playing golf with his sons. Perhaps his favorite past time was spoiling his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of Diane M. (Alosi) Ercolano. Loving father of Kathleen Vangel of Hyde Park, Jason Kavanagh of Athol, Edward Keough of North Attleboro, Ursula Kavanagh of Worcester and Kristen Keough, Stephen Keough and Cynthia Spitler all of Norton and the late Kimberly Keough. Brother of Vincent Ercolano of Salem, Michael Ercolano of Hyde Park and Joseph Ercolano of Arizona. Also surivied by 15 grandchildren.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, August 16, from 4-8 at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow with United States Army Honors at the Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxboro.
