Barry Frederick Marchand
April 06, 1944 - January 24, 2006
Devoted Father and Grandfather Barry Frederick Marchand, age 61 died unexpectedly at his home in Plainville on Tuesday, January 24. He was the husband of the late Mary Ellen (Peavey) Marchand.
Born in Norwood on April 6, 1944, Barry was a native of Walpole where he attended Walpole Public Schools. He was the son of Phyllis (Flower) Marchand of Walpole and the late Everet Marchand.
Mr. Marchand worked for many years as a carpenter for Richard Davis Builders of Foxboro and then for several years for Reliable Fence Company of Walpole. He also worked on the maintenance staff at New Pond Village of Walpole. Barry enjoyed deer hunting with his son and was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He was a devoted father and grandfather.
Loving father of William J. and his wife Jennifer Marchand of Mansfield and Nancy and her husband Richard Capelo of Taunton. Devoted grandfather of Brandon, Keri-Ann, Kyle and Kaitlyn Capelo of Taunton and Allison Marchand of Mansfield. Brother of Norman Marchand and Patricia Johnson, both of Walpole and Cynthia Kelly of Medway.
Funeral Information
Friends and relatives are kindly invited to calling hours on Thursday, January 26 from 4 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 27 at 9 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
