Mary C. Cameron

Beloved Mother, Sister and Aunt

Foxborough-Mary Cecile “Sue” A. (Turner) Cameron, age 85, died on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at her daughter’s home in Thompson, CT, surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the wife of the late John Cameron.

Sue was born in Montreal, Canada on January 24, 1925 and was the daughter of the late George and Agena (Lelieure) Turner. She attended school in Montreal and moved to Boston at the age of 19.

Sue was a residential supervisor for the Wrentham State School for over 23 years until her retirement on August 18, 1990. She also worked as a school bus driver for the Wrentham Elementary School and for the Foxborough summer recreational program. An artist, Sue enjoyed oil painting and sketching. A sports enthusiast, she was a former figure skater in Canada and enjoyed playing golf and bowling. She also enjoyed sewing and was a true Boston Red Sox fan.

Beloved mother of Barbara Cameron of Pawtucket, RI, Andrea Cameron of Hamden, CT and Christina Cameron of Thompson CT. Loving sister of Patrick and Henry Turner of Canada and the late Stella, Georgette, Joseph, Nelson, Hector, Bernadette, William, Kathleen, Raymond and Patricia. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews including John Turner, Johanne Van Der Wee and Raymond and Robert McCabe. She also leaves her kitty cat Amber.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, August 23, from 4-8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. in Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday August 24, at 9 AM at St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. in Mansfield, MA. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield, MA.
