Marian Louise Brunell, age 88, died on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the Caritas Norwood Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Cleo B. (Shippy) Morse.

Marian was born in Foxboro on June 17, 1919 and was a graduate of Foxboro High School Class of 1937. Marian married Douglas L. Brunell in June of 1941 in Foxboro and in 1991 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She at one time worked for the Hutchins’ 5 & 10¢ Store in Foxboro center and was a former Girl Scout Leader in Foxboro. She resided in Foxboro and Chatham and most recently at Carl Annon Court in Foxboro.

Marian was a member of the St. Mary’s Woman’s Guild and was active in the Cursillo Movement. She also was a volunteer at Walnut Lodge in Foxboro. Marian most enjoyed spending time with her family and getting together with her High School classmates for lunch.

Beloved mother of Benjamin D. Brunell and his wife Marie of North Attleboro, Thomas E. Brunell and his wife Janis of Wellington, FL, Marjorie L. and her husband Michael Kirber of Sharon and Andrew D. Brunell and his wife Joyce of Essex Junction, VT.Sister of the late Howard Morse, Ruth Henchell, and Dorothy Jones. Also survived by 11 grand and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, November 12, from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home 30 South St. Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Mark’s Church, 105 Stanley St. in North Attleboro. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Foxboro.
